    Long, fun-filled days out in the sun playing games, splashing around within the water and just spending time with friends are what make day camp stand out to kids. Make sure your child has an easy, carefree time at camp since they can be sure she or he has all of the right essentials. Most camps will send a summary of what kids should – and cannot -bring. Following are some basics to your youngster to tote along. Be sure you label everything along with your child’s name.

    Backpack. There are many stuff to get to summer day camp. Pack all this up neatly in a compartmented backpack as well as your youngster have a more organized day. Have a very large re-sealable Ziploc-type bag towards the end in the bag for bringing home wet clothing.

    Water Bottle. Kids should drink lots of water during hot summer days. Be sure that your little one has a good water bottle knowning that children are encouraged to refill frequently throughout the day. Look for a good, light BPS-free model with double wall insulation. Should you not want to use re-useable bottles, put individual bottles from the freezer and pack them within the backpack daily.

    Protection from the sun. Children at day camp are outside sunshine high of the day and you will probably want lots of sun protection. Make sure you apply at home and then pack a sunscreen with the SPF that is at least 30; consult camp to make sure children are inspired to reapply during the day. A hat is a definite necessity, whether a normal baseball type or even a full dental coverage plans adventure-style hat, and kids may also bring sunglasses (several cheap pairs are a good idea, because they get lot and break easily). Some parents also opt for attire with sun-protection built in. Bug spray may be a good option; apply in your own home.

    Food! If your child’s camp has kids bring their own lunch and snacks, be sure you hold the right lunch box. If no refrigeration can be obtained, go with a thermal lunch bag and tuck within a re-useable icepack. Talk with the camping ground to find out if additionally it is important to bring a snack.     Clothing. Old favorite t-shirts and shorts are acceptable for camp; these active summer days are only concerned with play and outdoor fun, so fancy new outfits might take a beating!
